Namik Kemal University is a public university offering associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of programmes to its native and international students. Currently, it has about 35.000 students and 1.110 academic and 1administrative staffs. Founded in 2006, Namık Kemal University can be regarded as a relatively young institution though its history dates back to 1982 with the establishment of Faculty of Agriculture as the oldest academic unit. Recently, 10 faculties, 3 schools, 11 vocational schools, 3 graduate schools, a conservatory and 7 research and implementation centres are affiliated to the university. 

Geographically, Thrace, where the university is situated, is a crossroad for agriculture, industry, tourism and commerce. Being located to the northern coast of Marmara Sea and to the west of Istanbul, Tekirdağ is gradually improving its economic and social power. It is also close to the Greek and Bulgarian borders, which makes the location internationally more attractive. Due to its location in a developed area, Namık Kemal University gets easily involved in small- or large-scale research projects funded by national and international grant schemes. The university hosted or co-financed more than 1.000 institutional scientific projects, more than 150 nationally granted projects and 20 international projects.



 BOURGAS REGIONAL TOURIST ASSOCIATION (BRTA) 

BOURGAS REGIONAL TOURIST ASSOCIATION (BRTA) was established in 1998 as an organization in public benefit. It unites the existing in Bourgas region local tourist organizations, regional tourist associations and local authorities (municipalities). The goal of BRTA is to support and encourage the development of tourism in Bourgas region and alone or in cooperation with other organizations working to develop the region as a tourist destination.

One of the main priorities is diversification of tourism in the region - development of tourist products, promotion of Bourgas region as a tourist destination, educational trainings for developing rural tourism in the municipalities, organization of tourist fair and regional tourism forum and tours.

Bourgas Regional Tourist Association (BRTA) has more than 20 years of experience in development and implementation of projects. The main scope of activities is development and promotion of tourism products and packages, training and provision of consultancy and information to entrepreneurs and municipalities, promotion of the region, sustainable tourism development. BRTA works in close cooperation with its members municipalities and local tourist organisations, the educational institutions in Burgas region, all regional governmental bodies.

BRTA has implemented projects with partners funded by Territorial cooperation programmes: INTERREG IVC Programme, Joint Operational Programme “Black Sea Basin 2007 – 2013”, IPA CBC BG TR PROGRAMME, SEE Programme, Danube Transnational Programme, INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin and INTERREG EURO- MED.

 


The Institute of Marine Biology of the NAS of Ukraine is a budgetary institution in the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Year the institution was established – 1954.

The IMB NAS Ukraine is the one and only scientific institution of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine that carries out fundamental research in the field of marine biology and ecology.

The Institute also provides scientific services in accordance with the Charter, provides education and certifies for scientific specialists of the highest category (Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Sciences).

Type of IMB NAS Ukraine activities: research, laboratory, field studies, information.

Purpose and objectives: Marine biology, marine ecology, marine environmental studies, marine pollution studies.

Main research areas of the IMB NAS Ukraine:

- fundamentals of structure-functional organization of the sea ecosystem, limans and estuaries areas in terms of climate change and anthropogenic pressures;

- development of scientific bases of marine ecosystems monitoring, marine environment quality management and ecological management;

- biodiversity and evaluation of biological resources potential of the Azov-Black Sea basin, justification of the methodological aspects of Ukraine marine ecological network formation.



Ecological Counseling Center Cahul

The Ecological Counseling Center Cahul (ECC Cahul) is a public, non-profit and non-governmental organization, established in 1999 in Cahul, Republic of Moldova. The organization promotes sustainable development and environmental responsibility through strategic actions in the field of environmental protection, ecological education and community involvement, addressing environmental needs and challenges at local, regional and national levels.

ECC Cahul has extensive experience in the development and implementation of environmental and interdisciplinary projects, implementing over 45 projects funded by European and regional programs. Key areas of expertise include environmental education, biodiversity conservation, sustainable management of natural resources, climate change adaptation, circular economy and ecological innovation in the development of rural and urban areas.

The organization actively collaborates with relevant resort institutions, public institutions, civil society organizations, academia, and international partners, contributing to strengthening institutional capacity, knowledge transfer, and promoting integrated approaches to sustainable development.

ECC Cahul has implemented projects as a partner leader or partner within programs financed by European and regional funds, such as Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin, the Danube Transnational Program, Erasmus+  and the Romania-Republic of Moldova Cross-Border Cooperation Programs.
